Your Board of Directors - First Community Federal Credit Union

First Community Federal Credit Union is governed by a volunteer group of Board of Directors. These individuals represent many facets of our growing communities served, and dedicate countless hours in overseeing the operational soundness of your credit union. We’d like to thank these individuals and celebrate their commitment to First Community FCU and our growing membership base.

Board of Directors


Diana Nash – Diana has been a member of First Community Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors since 2000 and has been Chairman of the Board since 2003. Diana has over 40 years of credit union experience, as retired CEO of Steelcase Employees Credit Union.	Danielle Redmond Streed – Danielle has served on our Board of Directors since 2004. Danielle is our Board Treasurer, and is an Estate Planning Attorney with Redmond, Redmond& Yokom.

Julie Birman – Julie has served on our board of Directors since 1998, and is the current Vice Chairman of the Board. Julie is a 20 year employee of River Run Press in Parchment, where she is an Account Executive.	Mark Nash – Mark is co-owner of Nash Greenhouse in Comstock. Mark has served on the Board of Directors for First Community Federal Credit Union since 2006.

Dorothy Foreman – Dorothy is an employee of Alterra Sterling House in Battle Creek, and former Board Member of United Savers Federal Credit Union. Dorothy has served on the Board of Directors of First Community Federal Credit Union since our merger with USFCU in 2006.	Susan O'Connell – Susan O’Connell joined our Board of Directors in 2007. Susan owns and operates a State Farm Insurance Agency in Portage.
Nicole Kalmbach - Nicole is employed by Western Michigan University, where she has obtained both her Master's degree in Accounting and Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Nicole provides over five years of experience auditing credit union financial statements, and has served on First Community FCU's Supervisory Committee since 2007.

Supervisory Committee

The Supervisory Committee is made up of volunteers who perform periodic reviews and audits to ensure credit union operational efficiency. Our Supervisory Committee members include:

Bob Foster - Bob Foster joined the Supervisory Committee in 2008, bringing over 25 years of experience from his time with General Motors and Delphi. He has been very active in the credit union movement, having past served on a Credit Committee and a Supervisory Committee for two other credit unions. Mr. Foster is very active in the Richland and Kalamazoo communities.

Murali Krishnan - Murali is employed as a Senior Information Technology Professional at MPI Research. He has a Masters degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering. Murali has served on First Community FCU's Supervisory Committee since 2007.
