Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Insurance

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) pays the difference between the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of your vehicle, which is determined by your primary insurance company, and the unpaid balance that is owed to the Credit Union. Protecting against a financial loss and eliminating any out of pocket expenses are the true benefits of GAP. Essentially, GAP protects your entire investment and you from financial loss. GAP is available on new and used vehicles, automobiles, vans, light trucks, SUV’s and most recreational vehicles.GAP coverage goes into effect when you need it most – when your vehicle is stolen and is not recovered, or is totaled in an accident.

Credit Life Insurance

Credit Life Insurance protects your beneficiaries from additional financial hardship, and is available to purchase both as a primary borrow on a loan or when both a primary and joint borrow exist.

Credit Disability Insurance

Credit Disability Insurance protects you, the borrower, in the case of a disability which creates an inability to repay on your FCFCU loan for a period of 30 days or greater. Insurance dates back to the original date of your disability. Remember, Credit Disability Insurance is only available for purchase at the time you obtain your new loan with First Community Federal Credit Union.

Major Mechanical Protection (MMP) Insurance

This member-elected insurance is a vehicle protection product that shields you from the costs associated with most unexpected mechanical breakdowns; premium payment must be taken advantage of within the first 10 days of a new/used auto loan with FCFCU.

• It typically provides coverage for a longer period of time and/or for higher mileage than a standard manufacturer’s warranty
• It will often cover parts that are excluded from the standard manufacturer’s warranty
• It includes value-added benefits such as rental car coverage, roadside assistance, and trip interruption
